About Us
About the Center
JellyBeans ELC is an early learning center located in La Plata, MD. We have been open and fully operational since 1991, and have had hundreds of children in our care.
We are licensed through MSDE for ages 6 weeks through School-Age children. We are currently part of the MD Excels Program with a quality rating of 4. We are currently in the process of completing our MD accreditation.
Our lead teachers are fully qualified through the Office of Child Care. All of our staff have all received background checks & complete their yearly continued education.
Our goal is to care for each one of our children, as if they were our own. We aim to provide a safe & welcoming environment for our children everyday!
Meet our Administrative Staff
Jenna Goldey
Meet our Owner/Director Jennifer has been working in childcare for over 20 years. She is qualified in all age groups and holds her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology, and her Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood. She is a dedicated mother, and enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies in her free time. She cares for each child as if they were her own and loves to watch them grow throughout our program.
Alex Boyer
​Meet our Assistant Director Alex began working in childcare in 2016 as a qualified aide. She gained her lead teacher qualifications and taught in all age groups until 2021. She holds her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education & Early Childhood, and took over the assistant director position in Fall of 2021. She is a mother to two girls and enjoys exploring new places with her family. She strives to create meaningful relationships with all children, families, and staff.
